The Sphynx is lively, curious, and tireless; they need what might be called ?an enriched environment? with plenty of room and sources of stimulations on which to focus their attention and interest. This is not, however, an independent or solitary cat; on the contrary, they needs constant attention from an ever-present and indulgent family. The care giver(s) should have time to share games and adventures, give long periods of affectionate and attention, be mindful of daily care, and make his or her presence constantly known. Deprived of this close attention, the Sphynx will tend towards becoming board. The Sphynx quickly become closely attached to their owners and other family members, including dogs. The indulgent owner will enjoy an affectionate pet, full of life and spirit, intelligent, sometimes surprising so, and decidedly charming, capable of learning tricks, even amenable to being taken on walks with a leash. The Sphynx is never a background character: their presence can be demanding but is always highly personal.
